SLW Testimony: “I Saw Jesus Washing Away This Feeling…”

“One thing that I’ve struggled with for a while is this fear that a guy wouldn’t want to marry me because I’m getting too strong as I step more into leadership.  I felt like I’m going to be a bad wife because it was hard for me to respect a man as a potential husband.  I always subconsciously thought that to respect a man, I had to be quiet and move aside.  But God’s been calling me to step up more, so it’s been confusing and made me feel hopeless.  But during one of our times with our group [at Single Life Workshop] one of the women in our group washed my feet, and as she was doing that, I saw Jesus washing away this feeling that I don’t have to be quiet to respect and honor a man.  I can be a leader and a good wife.” – SLW Participant
