Clarification: “I didn’t understand that.” Or “Could you repeat that?”
More information: “Could you explain why?” Or “How did you feel when that happened?” -
When asked to give feedback to the person sharing:
Always start with what you can affirm and agree with; then share other opinions or questions.
In all your responses, be thinking of how to build this person up and en- courage them with what God has for them. -
Confidentiality for group sharing:
Commit to respecting the vulnerability and trust given to you during any open and honest sharing.
